Ok so the second book in the "Uglies" series is about these three kids named Tally, Shay, and Zane. The day they have been waiting for all their lives has finally come, the day they turn pretty... But, the question is, is it worth it?

Review:

Ok so quite apparently, I'm not exactly fond of this book, as you would know if you read my "Uglies" review. Why? Well, see, it's not the story or whatever that bugs me, its the language they use. It makes ABSOLUTELY NO sense to me! When something is "cool" it is called "bubbly." It's not so much that they use it, it's just that the use it ALL THE TIME. Yeah, sure it might not bug everyone, but i think Scott Westerfeld should at least be a bit more creative. Not only that, but in the first book, for no apparent reason WHAT SO EVER they began to call each other "Tally-wa" and "Shay-la." Why? No one knows, and if you figure it out, let me know...

Story:

See I personally think that the story is very creative, and is certainly not something you would think of on a daily basis. I really do like the story, it's catchy, it's intriguing, ect. If it weren't for the language used I would really like this book...

Reading Level:

Well, let's just say it's not exactly difficult. But you do have to figure out things like why the heck they call each other "Tally-wa" and "Shay-la." It's a total mystery to me... Sorry this section is pretty short, but theres not much to write...

Overall Recommendation:

You know, if someone were to ask me if I liked the book, I would say yes, because I did. It's all an opinion whether you like it or not and really it just kind of depends on your personal preference. Scott Westerfeld is a talented author, and yes, I would recommend this book, but I have to say...not his best.
