The Shining

The Shining is about a 5 going on 6 year old boy named Danny who is gifted with the "shining" The "shining" is like mind reading, but worse. He can see visions of the past and future. and read peoples feelings and minds. Pretty cool huh? Well, His father, Jack Torrance is a alcoholic with an ugly temper. Because of this, he lost his job as a teacher. A good friend of his named Al found him a job to be the caretaker of an old hotel in Colorado called the Overlook. Unfortunately, the Overlook has a dirty past. It turns out that people were murdered there and many other things. With Danny's gift, he can see all of these things from the past as if they were real. Dead people, crime scenes ect. As the Overlook slowly eats at Danny and Jack's brains, Wendy, the wife has to protect Danny from the slowly returning temper of Jack Torrance…. Soon, Danny's power gives these things from the past strength to return. That's when they realize that, well, they can't leave. :O

Karate Kid

Karate kid is about a young boy (12) from amarica that moves to china. He is getting beet up by some kids so he learns kongfu to become strong (or brave) while this is all hapining he also slowly is falling in love with a girl (mei somthing). I thought that it was a vary good movie because it tought you to make peace with ur enmys instead of fighting them. It also was a good movie because it was a vary emotional movie. You could connect to any of the characters feelings in your own way vary easly. Thy made it a movie that every one could enjoy because it was a bit of a romance, drama, comedy, action and you could connect with the charcters (understand) vary easly. It was a vary cute movie. Hope you take a look at it!!! P.s. My dad never crys in movies but he did 3 times because of the movies emotional vallue LOL Monica E.

Halloween II

Halloween II honestly just left me utterly confused. Then again, I never saw the first one… Well, anyways, i don't get the story so I'm just gonna write the review lol… Unfortunately this review won't be that long, sorry :( I don't really get the story so there isn't that much to say… Once I see the first one, I will rewrite it. Well, first off, I thought it was rather predictable, you always knew when the big bad monster was going to pop out of the closet, and the worst part was that he didn't even look scary! What kind of horror movie is that!? The only shock that really came was when the main character came out to be the villain… I DID NOT get the whole thing with the white horse and mother and brother…. I hope it gets easier to understand once i see the first one… Well, overall, I guess it was entraining…

Leap Year

Leap Year is about a woman named Anna who races to Dublin to propose to her boyfriend on February 29, the one day every four years that she can Propose. On her way to Dublin, she runs into some technical difficulties. Weather and many other setbacks challenge her devotion as she desperately makes her way to her boyfriend. On the way, she meets a rude but sweet innkeeper named Declan. Declan offers her a ride, and she hastily accepts it, having no idea what she is getting into. Finally, after the treacherous journey, she realizes that her boyfriend was going to propose to her, but only because he had to. Then she sees that she has feelings for Declan… The plot thickens…

Together these three girls discover a magical world called the realms. Well, I won't spoil it, but A Great and Terrible Beauty is now my favorite book, and I fell in love with it from the very start.

Iron Man or Transformers?

Iron Man 2

First I have to say that I loved the first Iron Man. I'm a total fan and I've seen it like 4 times. The whole suit that can fly thing is totally cool. And I think Stark is pretty funny.

So I was really looking forward to this movie and it didn't disappoint. It seems like there was more action in this one and I'm not sure if I liked them blowing up the whole Stark complex but it was awesome when all of the Hammel Iron Men were fighting against Stark and Roady.

How to Train Your Dragon

How to Train your Dragon is a movie about a week, small, viking who wants to kill a dragon because that's what the rest of his town does. So he catches a night furry and tries to tell his dad (the head viking) but nobody believes him. So he goes to find the dragon again. He tries to kill the dragon but he can't because he sees "himself" in the dragon. He begins to grow attached to it, and decides to name it Toothless. So he frees it, but it can't fly because it's missing a tail wing.Then it gets trapped in a sorta cannon. So he trains Toothless and earns it's trust and learns some strategies to use against other dragons that might kill him... Then he becomes the best Viking because he has defeated a lot of dragons... But then he has to kill one and he can't because he likes dragons and realizes they aren't cruel, they are just trying to protect themselves!!! I'm not telling you the end... Once I saw this, I fell in love with Toothless! It is now one of my favorite movies because it has a good story, and great characters. So this movie is really cute and I loved it so I suggest this one to all ages!!!

It's about a girl with a curse - pig curse! Penelope the girl with the curse... Grows up hidden in a house faking a death. Her mother is embaressed about her deformation, so Penelope finds a way to break the curse by marking a blue blood rich kid. But a boy faces as a ritch kid and accidently falls in love with her... I'm not going to spoil the movie but the ending is rather "Happily Ever After" ish!! I loved the movie... Although my mom was disgusted I thought it was a cute love story/fairie tail! I highly recommend it!!

The Thief Lord

Summery----The Thief Lord, by Cornelia Funke, is a well written book mostly about two children named Prosper and Bo and their runaway from their stuck-up Aunt and Uncle. The story takes place in Venice, Italy where the two boys have run off too in escape of their Aunt and Uncle who are trying to adopt the orphaned Bo but not his brother Prosper. During their escape they meet a strange boy who calls himself The Thief Lord and who claims he can steal anything including the legendary Merry-Go-Round that can make any child who rides it grown up, and any grown up who rides it becomes a child again. The boys end up going to live with him, and three other orphans, in an abandoned theatre. Life seems to be going better then usual, but is the Thief Lord really who he says he is or is it all made up?
