The Lightening Thief

When a 13 year old half blood named Percy Jackson finds that his father is Poseidon, and that he is accused of stealing Zeus's most powerful weapon, the lightening bolt, he must set out to find its original thief and return it to him by the solstice.

With his friends, Annabeth and Grover, they must travel across the world to find the underworld, only to find that Hades was not the thief.

You know, I liked this book, it had a creative plot, and ok characters, but the writing almost seemed...cheesy. I do have to say that the plot was unpredictable though. These books in my opinion weren't very good, and I can't quite see why everyone loved them so much, but at least they kept me entertained.

The reading Level was easy, large print, easy vocabulary, ect., and I flew through them quickly. These books also keep you updated with ancient Greek mythology, which i though was interesting. The story was something new and fresh, but it could have been written better...
